While working on a project for my day job, I came across an open source content manager called xaraya. I'm in love. The permission system is very powerful and flexible. I would love to have the time to look at incorporating some of xaraya's ideas in my vbulletin modifications.

Most OS X software is cake to uninstall. You find the applcation, and drag it to the trash. Done. But, yesterday, I downloaded a typing completion program called Typeit4me. When I downloaded it, it was not readily apparent that it was shareware that would nag me periodically to buy it. When I saw it was shareware and not freeware, I decided to uninstall it.

There was no application in the applications folder. I used Spotlight to try to find any files with TypeIt4Me in their name, and then trashed those. But, the darn thing kept coming back. The software's website had no uninstall directions, and I couldn't find any info on Google. So, I emailed the author, and these are the directions he provided:



Then, empty the trash and reboot. That does the trick.
